World Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Day (24 March 2023)

LPPH in collaboration with MOHSS has chosen the Groot Aub community to commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB. TB still remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious killers.

The theme of World TB Day 2023 –  was ‘ Yes! we can End TB”. The main focus of the outreach campaign was to increase the community’s knowledge on TB symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. This was accomplished through a role play and Information session. Questions were asked and the community could win prizes. The hospital distributed food parcels and vitamins to the community.
